SMPS (Switching
Mode Power Supply) is basically a circuit that operates in a closed
loop system to regulate the power supply output. The SMPS is a device
that transforms the input voltage level to the required value. The SMPS
ensures that the right amount of power is delivered to end appliances
and also ensures that there is no meltdown with unregulated power
supply.
